Cavern

Enter a cavern where a heart should lie;

Enter the woods of a world so high

Full of magic, full of mystery full and yonder

But before you can find it, you must wander

But lost in the thicket, you may turn an eye

To see the lost sparrow, whose broken wing says ‘fly’

Help that poor sparrow, you can choose you see

But it is only a test; not your destiny

And soon you will find that lost in the mist

A cavern of wonder, abandoned – a crypt

They call it home, a place where your dreams

Are not what they seem – just bursting at the seams

And the agony that torments you every single day,

Is something not what they say; ‘you can pray it away’

And as you find deeper in yourself, there is really no heart;

You think you found an exit? You’re just at the start.
